Design Opportunity from Drama

Not required, but a design opportunity direct from Mr. Minigan:

"We are setting our upcoming production of The Comedy of Errors in a setting that suggests modern-day Las Vegas. Instead of the town of Ephesus, the idea is that many scenes take place in the Hotel Ephesus.

Do you have a student who might like to come up with a logo for the hotel? We are thinking something like a poker chip or roulette wheel with an E on it, or a deck of cards with an E. The logo would be put on a glass slide and projected onto a screen above the stage for those scenes.

if you have a really ambitious student--we also have several other design opportunities--another scene is set in front of an "Elvis" chapel."

  2. I am always concerned about our class turning into a "favors for others" situation - you are now so valuable to others!!! So, this one you only have to do if you are interested. Class work definitely takes priority! If you're lucky enough to have Illustrator or Photoshop at home, dive right in! I like to offer as many opportunities as possible - they're fun, make you more familiar with the programs, and can become great portfolio pieces if you complete them with care!
